Slothmachines is the moniker under which Francesco has been sharing his sonic research for years, through DJ sets and experiments that explore the boundaries of contemporary electronic music — crossing genres, tempos, and atmospheres.
His sound blends cinematic and atmospheric elements with dub echoes, low frequencies, and percussive textures. Rooted in his background as a researcher, his approach to listening and DJing is both critical and playful, often incorporating sounds from his daily life between city and countryside. He is co-founder and resident of Stasis, an audio-visual collective active since 2018, curating parties, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, installations, and editorial content.
Francesco also hosts a monthly residency on Rough Radio called “Dubbing the Everyday”, airing every second Tuesday of the month.
